CAMP GORHAM FAMILY CAMP

Camp Gorham is located on 1,500 acres in the Adirondack Mountains near Old Forge, New York.  The property includes our private 400 acre lake, Darts Lake.

Programs are designed to allow a variety of activities ... some for the whole family, some for the adults and others just for children.  One of the keys to the success of the family camp program is the involvement of both campers and staff!  You are invited to offer your special talents to help create a special experience for all participants.

Our facilities include tennis courts, craft shop, archery range, horseback riding trails, volleyball and basketball courts, a climbing tower, a well-equipped waterfront with canoes, rowboats and sailboats, dining hall, recreation building, chapel and health center.

Families may request that they be housed in one of the following living units:

Cottages: Living room, fireplace, bedrooms with  bunk beds, sanitary facilities (toilet & sink).  Showers are located in a separate building.  Cottages vary in size from 10 to 18 people.

Bunkhouse: Two- and eight-person bedrooms with bunk beds.  Sanitary facilities (including showers) are located in the same building.

Adirondack Shelters: Two- and four-person shelters, with sliding front doors, built-in bunk beds, electricity and storage cubicles. Toilets, sinks and showers are located nearby.

Guest: Individuals or families who attend for only a day or two.  Due to the popularity of the program, guests can only be accommodated in the same rooms/shelters reserved by our full-week participants.  If you wish to reserve a separate room for guests, you will need to pay the full-week rate.
